Assessment of Drivers of Deforestation and Forest Degradation in West Africa
This report presents the methodology and main findings of an assessment conducted between 2015 and 2020 to identify the primary drivers of deforestation and forest degradation in West Africa.
Explaining the Emergence of Land-Use Frontiers
Land-use expansion is linked to major sustainability concerns including climate change, food security and biodiversity loss. This expansion is largely concentrated in so-called ‘frontiers’.’ Understanding the mechanisms shaping these frontiers is crucial for sustainability.
