The Green BnB

The Green BnB is an eco-friendly guesthouse and center for social and environmental change designed to demonstrate and celebrate a sustainable lifestyle amidst a culturally diverse environment. I founded The Green BnB in 2021 and officially registered the business in 2023 (a) to inspire individuals to implement changes in their daily lives that reduce their ecological footprint, and (b) to build a diverse community of people promoting positive environmental change.

The Green BnB will offer short term accommodation, venue space, and a residential library devoted to sustainable development. The Green BnB will also organize educational workshops and recreational events focused on increasing home energy efficiency, reducing domestic waste, transitioning from meat to plant-based diets, and facilitating affordable access to nature.

The ultimate aim is to reach as many people as possible to help scale collective efforts to address our current environmental crisis in an inclusive way.

The main objective at the moment is to finish renovating the 150-year old house in Verviers, Belgium that is hosting The Green BnB.  Sustainability is core to this project.  I’ve been leading the home renovation myself, using all natural, non-toxic materials and following a renovation road-map to drastically increase the energy efficiency of the house and avoid 40 tons of CO2 emission each year. The project has been a wonderful adventure thus far, but it has also been quite expensive.

If you’re interested in climate action and/or supporting small, black-owned, women-led businesses, please join me at The Green BnB!
