Trail #3: The Woods Up the Road
This trail is a hidden gem that starts down the road from BASHH (the Blue Ardenne Sustainability Home + Hub). Where the houses stop and the old warehouses begin, a narrow trail starts to climb up into the woods, lined with oak and maple trees. The trail zigzags up the hill to an old stone bench with a magnificent view of Verviers. Bring a bottle of wine, a Belgian beer, or a flash of hot cocoa, and stay a while to soak in the scene. This trail is best for sunsets!
